Termination of unused SPDIF CD output

Are there any suggestion about termination of unused SPDIF CD output:

a) metal caped
b)shorted or
c)shorted with resistor?

If shorting with resistor which value is most suitable?

It really doesn't matter whether its left unterminated or not. If you do want it terminated though, then I would suggest 75 ohms as that seems to be the standard impedance quoted for SPDIF inputs. But it really won't make any difference.

Yes. Don't short it. Either leave it just as it is, or add a 75 ohm termination. There is no reason to do the latter.
