can somebody help me with my player

I have a cd player, the optic is quick enough to accesss the disc so if randomly move from track to another track but sometimes in the middle of song, the optical frozen and back again from track 1, dont know cause of this problem and how to fix it, my optical set is KSS204 from sony cd player, any help would be appreciate, thanks before.

You'll probably have a KSS240 (typo?) and my guess is that the
flatcable attached to the laserunit has to be replaced.

First you can try to lubricate the metal guides where the laser assembly moves.
Those things usually dry out and the laser assembly doesn't move as freely as it should.
I use STP car oil additive.

It's excellent, and holds very well to moving parts.

I think this laser unit is already weak. who knows where I can get the subtitute of this unit (KSS240)

try cleaning the lense with some alcohol.....sounds like a tracking problem
