Nice work! What Laser Diode did you use? What are the specs and Manufacturer. Thanks for posting this information.

Hello WAR415,thankyou for your reply! I use the Rohm laser diode , model for the "RLD78MYA1", package: To-18 (φ 5.6mm ) Fig1 , you can refer to the following PDF file

Where can the laser diodes be sourced from?

Hi living!

Great job, well done!

I have the same CD player, DP-8010, and exactly the same problem, no disc error, the spindle will not spin when you load the CD tray in.

One question: Can you point out a supplier for the laser diode please?

You can post your reply here or directly to my e-mail address: radko71@abv.bg

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Laser diode replaced, disc motor does not spin

HI ALL!

I just got 5 spare laser diodes from Gert from the Netherlands, for which I thank him very very much!

Replaced the laser diode on the DP-8010, but the disc motor does not spin.
There is focus movement, the laser works OK

Where do I look, is the CXD1125QZ the problem ?
Its pin 2 commands directly the IC110 and the transistor switches that actuate the motor.

Thanks in advance!

Hi living!
Thanks for the feedback!
Yes, I got the diode disassembly and replacement. All OK there. The laser diode is brand new now.
The FOK is correct, it is HIGH when the CD drawer is closed, but the command for the motor to spin comes from pin 2 of the CDX1125. I will check all signals with a scope, and will keep you posted.

hi tiefbassuebertr:hohoho:
yes i do
thangkyou for reply:p
For a longer time there are several ebey members, which offers laser diodes for the KSS-151A (mostly in use by DENON compact disc player).
Check out therefore follow item No about ebay:
1) 120946832767 (Laserlands, Beijing)
2) 271029488132 (ZhZy5500, Guangdong province. guangzhou)
3) 260834703729 (lilymaria2002, Wuhan)

Are there any experiences in the meantime concerning an exchange?
