This mp3 player is not cheap though seems like a nice project. Has anyone tried one?
The kit seems to use VS1011 chip which has free support,a so cored DSP element and example programmes from the manufacturer (FIRs, IIRs). Velleman appears to have written some DSP plugins which I assume are loaded into the decoder by a pic. Internally the dac chip seems poor though though.
I am not sure how the VS1011 is coded. I think it's through the Pic but there may be some other chip in the Velleman schematic.
