Dear all,
I was want to prepare a circuit for DAC project. Project flow : CS8414/8420 --> DF1706E --> PCM1704 --> OPA627 --> OPA134. But I don't know how to do the system reset when I use CS8414. Is it use the Pin14 of DF1706? Or reset 8414? Any one can provied reference circuit? Thankyou very much |

On the CS8414, you have to pull all 4 mode pins high. You could do this with some pull up resistors on the pins that normally need to be tied to ground.

Oh,
I would think its best to do a system wide reset - so the DIR and the Digital Filter should be reset. To my knowledge, the DAC doesn't have a reset function... ??? I could be wrong though!

Ues the resetcircuit as in the CS8414 datasheet. See also: http://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.pl?f...et&r=&session= Pin 14 of the DF1604 is the reset of the digital filter. Wouldn't be too difficult to use that one too.

Dunno what elsos link says but (for the 8420) just use a resistor to vdd and a cap to delay after power up.
A 47kohm and 47uF works fine for my (8420/DF1704/PCM1704) based dac. In my set up the DF1704 and PCM1704 do not need a reset (after powerup), only the 8420. |
