Default Pioneer PD-65 clock replacement

Has anyone tried to replace the clock in a PD-65? I've tried and can't get it to work - any assistance would be welcome. I followed both versions of the instructions pictured but neither one worked. I had no trouble with my PD-59!

Problem solved - mostly my own stupid fault, but for the record these instructions work (from Octave Electronics for the LClock in a PD-75, but it works for the HiFiDiy clock in a PD-65, except for the power):

Pioneer PD75
Clock Frequency 16,9344MHz
Converter type Pioneer PD2028A
The Crystal unit is placed under the copper can, situated closest to the middle of the CD player enclosure. The converter PC Board is unfastened, and taken carefully out of the chassis, the can is removed with a soldering iron.
Remove X512, and R511. Short circuit C517
On IC512:
Connect LClock Out to Pin 3.
Connect LClock Gnd to Pin 7.
+12V red wire is soldered to R651, no matter which side.
