Question for Member from Singapore CM

Hi there, am also from Singapore, read your posting about the CDM 12.1, would like to learn more about it as I've got a busted CDM 9pro. The problems with the turntable as its warped, I've been to the usual Sim Lim Tower and they don't sell the part or the whole cdm. Is there anyway to replace the turmtable or the CDM, or can I get in touch with you.

Try checking the echoloft archives. I recall that there's someone who does good cdp repairs who was mentioned on the board.

Hi Alvin,
The CDM 12.1 spare laser assembly is freely available in our local spares market. So it must be available freely in Singapore also. The unit seems to be coming from China . The text on the cover is in English and Chinese. It costs less than S$20/-. I am not sure of the current price. I bought one over 6 months ago.
It is very easy to replace. No electrical adjustments are required.

Hello, a bit off topic here but I'll be going to Singapore and want to pick up a Behringer DEQ2496 over there. I wonder if someone could help me and tell me where to pick one up in Singapore. Thanks.

I'm not so sure...check out Sim Lim Square...at rochor canal road...the first floor has a lot of audio shops that will be happy to serve you.

Dude...check out the shope named Esden trading or somehting like that outside...next to the restaurant...he does it well...well he doesn't rip me off anyway...as far as I know...his stuff is actually cheaper compared to other outlets...but he doesn't do credit cards and NETS...says they charge commision...
