oscilator needed

i need a square wave oscilator with output voltage of 0 to 12V
50% duty cycle and an easy ay to change the freq , what is the easiest and cheapest way to do that ?

No, just checked the Fairchild datasheet and it can give you
12.5 V @ 200mA and 13.5 V @100 mA, asssuming 15V supply,
of course.

IMHO I found that the 555 a bit fiddley for keeping the duty cycle constant
I would be tempted to run the 555 at twice the frequency and use a flip flop cct behind the 555 to divide by two and keep the duty a constant 50 pct
