Problems with DCX2496 setup

I did a fair amount of searching and was not able to resolve my issue so I thought that I would post and hope someone could help me out. I recently got a Behringer DCX2496. My setup consists of an inexpensive Pyramid pre-amp to DCX2496 (with RCA to XLR male), from DCX2496 to two small Lepai amps (with XLR female to RCA). I am attempting to use 1, 2, 3, 4 as LH, LH for the purposes of testing to establish a crossover point. Here is the issue; I am only getting sound out of one side - the left side. Is there something wrong with my setup? Is the XLR to RCA an issue? Any thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Of course it could be a cable problem, swap them to see.

Or it could be routing. Look to see how inputs A&B are routed. Do they go to the output channels you want?

First check if anything is muted (red leds), then check cable, then routing, and levels
It's a complicated tool, so a little patience is needed.

I did the simple thing and checked the cables. I jiggled one of them that was connected to a Lepai amp and 'BAM' - there was sound. I was thinking more critically - something wrong with the setup or ??. Thanks for your responses. This thing is way cool.

Glad you found it! Yes, cables and connections seem to make up 90% of audio problems.
