Default Substituting PCM 1716...?

Dear DAC experts,

My Musical Fidelity X=24K DAC uses the BB PCM 1716 converter.
Is there any newer (anD better!) converter that I could use as an easy substitute (100% pin compatible...)?

I also asked about an upgrade of the NE5532 opams in this thread:

Any advice dearly appreciated!

Regards,

Lucas
