Discrete opamp for Philips CD710?

Hi,

I would like to replace the dual stock opamp in my Philips CD710 with a Discrete opamp, maybe one of audio-gd.
Is this possible? I know it is physically possible, but doesn't take the discrete opamp more current than the 'normal' opamp?

They draw some 50-60mA per dual OpAmp.
I would suggest to try an OpAmp from the latest generation to replace your average NJM4560.
I suggest LM4562NA - that is the same IC package.

But, with TDA1545 having THD+N of typ -88dB (max -77dB), the improvements will be... minimal.
