hi guys i wonder if you can help me my cd player has been behaving erratically for a while now.. when i put in a cd i see the TOC reading then nothing happens then an "error" message shows up!!.
I then switch it off for 30 mins and then do the same thing and it reads the discs and plays normally for about 3 hrs and then fault occurs again, i am a complete newbie to this so your suggestions will be appreciated.. thanks |

Initially my money would have been on the laser, but as you say it plays for a few hours, I'd start from cold and use a air heater like a travel hairdryer to see if you can induce the fault. You could also then use freezer spray to cool compnents down to see if you can make it work again. Use this method of heating and cooling un small area's to see if you can isolate specific components that may have failed.
