Fran, I will give a pm and I don't feel we are off-topic here. Even if you would be partial regardless, you have at least admitted to having had both products in house and your ears are likely good enough to know what you would end up choosing regardless of how well you do or do not know the designer of choice. I'm similar in a sense that I have always been around designers, very fortunate to say the least, and if not for them, I would never have what I do today and likely be one of the very many constantly on that neverending search for the perfect sound that doesn't exist in a life based on compromises. Much appreciate your input and I can gain further input in PM while this thread continues to roll right along. Remember, it doesn't have to necessarily be a Jkeny product, it can be "anything" computer audio. I can even change the OP if I have not mentioned it already, and simply state, Shigaclone or ANY cd loading transport of choice for the matter vs. of course anything one has compared to something in the computer world of things. My goal with this thread is merely to learn more about people's experience in as most recent time with both the regular ole platter as a transport and computer audio related setups. Thanks Bluemartini for including Peter's work (as always, very beautifully done). Cheers! Last edited by findingmyway4ever; 17th December 2011 at 01:49 AM. |
