Denon DVD-3800 as DSD transport?
A friend of mine sent me his Denon DVD-3800 that has some problems. apparently it overheats and there are lots of known issues with this unit as a DVD player. BUT it works as a CD player so I thought maybe it would make a good transport for a DSD mod? or tap in to the 3x I2S streams and make a new D/A converter for it for multi channel audio playback...
I managed to find the schematics online and I am just going through them now. Zc

The original DAC is OK, the only thing that can be improved are the OpAmps and power supply for them. Eventualy the capacitors in the analog signal path.
