My new SPDIF + SRC + DAC design platform - Page 2

Hi Everyone,

So far I've built a WM8741, and PCM1794 board for my SRC (WM8804 => SRC4192/4193) platform. I'll like to add one more DAC to the list. So far I have a request for Analog Devices AD1955. Any others?

I was thinking Asahi Kasei Microsystems AK4396 with it's balanced voltage output would be nice. I could use the same on-board amplifier that I'm using on my WM8741 board. Anybody know how it sounds compared to Wolfson's WM8741 and TI's PCM1794? Would it worthy of taking over the number three spot?

Did you think of a multibit DAC? AD 1853? Just a suggestion, I'm not big on DACs (yet

I'm starting to explore DACs, and I was planning to build something similar myself (versatile standalone receiver/ASRC board). Do you think you could share the schematics/layout? Perhaps, there is some interesting experience/hint you can share? Any interesting problems you've faced while building it?
