Hi All

I'm looking for suggestions of waht to do with an old Philips CD-303 CD player .
I think its a 14bit unit.
The laser assembly is pretty awesome , cast aluminium pendulum style sort of gizmo and the whole thing is built like a brick sh*thouse.
ocassionally the circuits seem to go awry with lights flashing all over the place (error , track indicator etc) and at this stage it just stops working, occasional nasty noise out of one channel (high pitch).
This thing will generally track just about anything, try putting 2mm wide stripes across your cd and see how your player goes.
I am reluctant to chuck it as it will read CD-R's whereas my other source Sony DVP-S735 DVD player wont.
any suggestion , fix most welcome
Thanks in advance.
