I`d like to know how to set programm switch of DAT recorder Teac R-1 because the original gear broke down and I had to replace it. The case programm switch has labels in the form of the pointer and square, but there are no labels on the broken gear. I tried to set in different positions but either the recorder does not tape set or it sets and returns back immediately. I don`t have service manual for this device, and there is no other device. For example, in service manual of Tascam DA-30 nothing is said about the label. How should it be? Is it regulated in the same way as VCR- labels coincide with stop state?
