I'd say that without having to buy a new clock, swapping DEM cap to a value that "locks" and getting rid of elcos in the signalpath would be the next big steps.

I think one of the biggest is allready done with the reg for SAA7220.

Ok, then the dem caps shall be! Even though i'm an engineer, can someone exaplain to me what is the purpose of caps in a digital signal path?
I'm not sure which caps i should remove from the signal path.

The DEM cap is the cap between pin16 & pin17 on the TDA.

The ones to swap to MKP are the green Nichicon MUSE bipolar(2pcs)

I used 220nF for the decoupling of TDA1541A, except for MSB where I used 1uF, all wima.

Don't remove anything, swap to different.

No, still waiting for caps to replace the ones I blew when I had higher fever(still sick, damn long cold). No PS caps = No turning on the cd...
