I am in the progress to replace op-amps in my player. Mostly they are dual voltage dual op-amps, no problem. But there is one NJM2737, it uses single +5V power, wonder what is a better one to replace this?
Also, since all the op-amp are SMD/SOIC, I am thinking if there is something like DIP socket for SMDs? So I can solder the socket, and replace/testing out different SMD op-amps? Thanks a lot! |

I hope that I understand the question.
Check out something called a surf board. There are lots of outfits that carry them and if you are looking to adapt a surface mount part to a dip socket that is what they are ment for. SurfBoards | Alltronics Also DigiKey carries them.

I would be very careful as the NJM2737 is a micropower device.
You should be asking yourself "what is it used for and why was this device originally chosen"

Thanks for all the replies.
No, the Surf Board is not what I want, it converts SMD to DIP. My PCB is all SMT, so I want something doing the reverse, or more precisely, I want a device, that I can sold it on to PCB in SMD form, and than plug SMD IC (or may be DIP IC) into this device. For NJM2737, I probably have to leave it alone. It's the last stage of ADC which drives a PCM4202 ADC input. I suspect NJM2737 isn't a good one, but it's so small (in TVSP8 package), I am afraid I don't have enough good skill to replace it, it's tiny! |
