Currently using a Hiface USB-spdif convertor.
As a lot of you guys know, it sounds good! Works like a charm with 2.0 stereo. With the kernel streaming or ASIO drivers I even get multichannel DTS / AC3 and dolby audio stuff working with my receiver. But only with the audio players. As you may guess, no support with the directsound drivers for DTS/AC3. Video is a different story, currently all the video/audio renderers run on directsound. I can't find one that supports kernel streaming or ASIO. But I would like to enjoy the quality of the Hiface also with movies. Does anyone has a solution for this? |
