I opened up my Sony cdp to check what kind of op amp it had. I was hoping I could replace it with a ne5332 or the lm4265. But what I found was a 24 pin Sanyo la9215. Is there an upgrade to this "op amp"?

That must be a very low end Sony to use that chip. Unfortunately, there is not a darn thing in the world to substitute for it. Very "all in one" chip, designed for very cheap products. You can either completely redesign the entire output section to use proper opamps, or make the best out of it you can by giving it the best possible power supply support, which I doubt would be worth doing.

Thanks for ur response, I couldn't find any reviews on the cdp c345, so I figured it was a low entry level, it doesn't look bad though. I spot the empty op amp space on pcb use in better models, like u said it won't be worth upgrading the caps. I will just leave it alone.
