I've been wondering what type of rectifier diode sound best for my non-os tda1543 Dac PSU. Currently I'm using BYW29E high speed rated around 25ns. Is this any better than ordinary diode?
Recently while tweaking my integrated amplifier by changing the rectifier with byw29e the sound some sort of shut in and blunt with more apparent bass. When I change back to ordinary diode it sound a lot better with detail and so on. Why is this so? I thought that high speed is always better than normal diode. May be someone can recommend me a better diode. Thanks. Toni. |
