Yeah, I felt a little insane after soldering that thing in there. But I'm happy it's done and I'm contemplating doing the next one soon.
To lighten up I'm going to solder some surface mount AC97 chips onto my own boards and do them p2p with class A tube outputs. That'll be a nice audio card!

Well, that test it about to come. I haven't figured out what I want to use to feed the chip. I figure it won't be too difficult to extract an I2S signal from the computer, just gotta stop being lazy and hook the sucker up.
