ESS ES9023 DAC
 
Is anyone around here using this DAC chip?
I'm buying a few this week and i will need some help with the implementation.

Implementation is very straight forward, that's one of the key benefits of this chip. That and low power with single supply voltage.

See the latest post in the "open source USB-DAC - audio widget" thread. There is a PDF of the AB-1.1 schematic with the es0023.

what sort of Implementation
I see that people mainly use It as a I2S Input DAC
I am also Interested but I need and spdif receiver part

Talk with the user massimo. He might have some more chips left. I'm buying from him.
I will also need a spdif/toslink reciver. And it will be the first dac ever for me.

The schematic is open source. The pcb layout is proprietary.

WM8804 is good & cheap (around 3 EUR)
