Need help in repairing Sony SCD-CE775 SACD/CD changer

I have a problem with my CE775 in that when I hit the power button to turn it on, the tray turns, but the display stays dim.

Anyone have any idea on what could be the problem?

Hi K6-III,
Check/replace the zenerdiode in the display supply.

Oh yeah, and the buttons don't do anything, the tray doesn't open, etc.

Basically, if you turn it on, the tray rotates and locks and that is all...

Apparantly this was caused during shipping...

Looks perfect on the outside, as do all the boards inside, but I'm not sure what to look for...

Hi,
Check for powersupply voltages present and broken crystal from transport damage and even hairfractures in the PCB.
