usb sound card for 2.1 audio

I'm looking to add a usb sound card to my setup.
I don't need any fancy surround sound, but i'd like to have the ability to add a subwoofer as I'll be connecting the L+R channels to a trends t-amp and fullrange speakers (which are not particularly punchy for movies) but beautiful otherwise.

Can I get some recommendations please?
I'm looking at the budget end.

There are no 2.1 cards. They are either 2 or 5.1.
Usually the subwoofer has it's own filter (crossover) network, it takes the signal from L and R channles.

I checked my sub, and it does have an output.
So i guess I should plug the usb sound card to the sub, and from the sub to the amp.

With this in mind, what is a good budget external usb sound card/dac?
