I would like to add a BNC digi out socket to a NAD CD player.
Do i have to remove the existing rca socket first, or can i just parallel connect the new socket? I've done this twice before, but always removed the poor quality rca socket first. The difference was audible. However, I don't really want to spoil this half decent player by throwing bits of it away.. Thanks in advance. |

What is the purpose of adding a BNC socket? To have a impedance-matched connection, no?
In that case, leaving wired in "parallel" the existing RCA connection would cancel that purpose... |
