Hello,
I'm designing a converter from AES3 and SPDIF to I2S. It will be used for measurement/testing. At the moment I am wondering what is the best solution to do an input selection between AES3, SPDIF coax. and SPDIF opt. In my design, I use the CS8414 which has differenmtial inputs. What about relays? The input of the chip is compatible to RS422. Is there somthing like a RS422-Mux or -Switch that can be used? Any experiances out there? It is important that the input selection circuit has low influene to signal performance. Thank you for help, Greetings, Arne |

Use latching relays. Power is only used for switching, so the coil is not inducing anything into the signal.
You can get them cheap here: http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bi...600&type=store |
