This item would lead you to believe it has an line level analog out, such does not seem to be the case. You can barely hear the source through the headphones or the RCA, it plays just fine out the S/PDIF into another DAC. Just got it today from China.
Anyone have any experience with these? They seem to claim to be a DAC but you do need a DAC to get any real volume out of it. Seems to be a good USB to S/PDIF converter with some bling? Can't expect too much for the price. Last edited by whaleman; 3rd June 2011 at 02:14 AM. Reason: too quick |

Since they don't provide any description of the components used, I'd pass on it and go for something like this: Muse DA10 MINI PCM2704 USB DAC headphone Amp Soundcard | eBay at almost the same price, since they are providing some circuit details.

or something like this: (albeit at twice the price) Mini NG98 MKII MK2 USB DAC & Headphone Amplifier Amp | eBay
if you want a real DAC/headphone amp (the tpa6120 has lots of balls..) |
