I have bought an AV-1 receiver used about a year ago. I absolutely love this amp. It has very good weight 33+ lb..and kicks my B&W speaker very well..
Recently, it has tuner issue for several months: When I listen to a FM station for a 5-10 minutes, it lost the signal and have pop/static sound. This lasts about 10 min or so, then it picks up the signal and works again, and then pop/static,,, repeat... I tried to get a separate tuner, but to be honest, I can't get one within my budget( 200$) that sounds better the Nak built-in tuner. I really want have my AV-1 tuner back. Could someone help me! Thank you so much. PS. anywhere can get service manual? |

Tuner problems can be difficult.
I have never seen the Nak AV1 but would suggest you check very carefully for any poor joints particularly PSU rails to the tuner. Look for any regulators/transistors etc in the PSU that run hot... things like that are favourite failure items on any equipment. Maybe a litte freezer spray dripped on to (not blasted at ) any suspect devices, IF amp chips etc might help narrow things down a little. In my experience faults like this often have a fairly straightforward cause... very often PSU rail problems.
