I think you will find that it is pretty much unavoidable, using standard DSP parts.

can you enlighten me on the "unavoidable" part. I don't doubt it, but as my books are not very practically oriented towards any dsp chip, they don't really cover this well.

A pointer somewhere? I probably need to get another more practise oriented book
