Hello
I have read most of the posts on non/os dacs but I still have an outstanding question. I have read that using a non/os dac with solid state equipment may cause oscillations in the amp. I amp building a tda1541 non/os at the moment, and I'm just thinking about filtering and output stages. I have a Nakamichi PA7 class-A monster Mosfet amp from about 1987. This, to my knowledge, uses no global feedback, as it is based on a Nelson Pass design. Bandwidth stats from the service manual are: 20-20,000 hz +0, -0.5 db 7-150,000 hz +0, -3db Does any1 have recommendations on filter types? I was thinking about using a transformer and using the top bandwidth limit as a natural filter, along with a LPF. Any comments? Cheers! |
