I have no lack of bass with the stock regulators. But I am using massive capacitors

But On Semi regs costs less...

You were totally right. I've just replaced the old AK4396 with the one that the eBay vendor (along1986090 - thank you very much) sent me and it solved the clipping issue. Thank you for your help once again. Now I have a fully functional DAC based on the AK4396.

Have now tried with LM4562. Just plug and play replacement whith the original Ne5532. I think i have a little improvement, but not enough to make me satisfied.
I have ordered a new pcb with the ak4396 chip. And planning to built after the full BOM from Clave. Looking forward to it. The last parts, comes in next week

I have both boards - one with OPA627, which gives improvement to both. Waiting for another OPA627. No other modifications yet, but I will be very pleased if you publish your findings after you complete the ak4396 board.
