Has anyone tried this particular 5.1 surround decoder?
AC3 DTS 5.1 Audio Gear Digital Sound Decoder SPDIF PS3 - eBay (item 110631063095 end time Apr-02-11 07:31:10 PDT) It's relatively cheap, and I now that I have a discrete 5.1 amplifier with analog inputs I need a 5.1 decoder with line outs to connect the optical out of my BluRay and DVD players to my amp. There don't seem to be many of these on the market. Most are built into the amps of surround systems. I just need line level outs. Any suggestions other than this device? It's $80 from China, not sure what chip is used. If there is something better for not a lot more money I can spend a little more. This will be used mostly for movies and surround audio DVDs. Thanks for any help or suggestions. |
