Hi everyone.
I'm trying to revive my Cyrus DAD3 with a"new" CDM 12.4 (sold as new on ebay but it sure looks reclaimed to me). During the dismantle I discovered a piece of the transport had fallen out on to my lap ( a small white plastic lever) - and I didn't see where it came from. Does anyone have a service manual for this CD player? thanks very much. |

Hey guys - I found the spot from this picture here:

Hi, I have exactly the same problem with my player, although it is a B&W Aura CD100 which uses the same mechanism. The white bit of plastic just fell out and I cant find how it goes back in. If you could post a picture of your solution (if you have found one!) I would really appreciate it
Thanks! |

I assume, the loader is the 1265/10 from Philips, also used from Primare (CD31), Thule Audio (CD-150B), NAD (s500) and some CD-ROM drives for personal computers
But I am not sure as long I don't see the top view of the DAD3 mechanism. If I am not right with my estimate, then the loader must be the 1210 (go to the last attachement - the Micromega stage). The mechanism and laser head in both loaders are the same: the CDM12.4. The white plastic bit is in the top left corner of the tray mechanism in photo 6 of tiefbassuebertr's great photos.

In the attachement you will find the exploded view of this loader - perhaps this will help.
Check also out the pics from post #24 about problem with quad cd 77 help needed (Quad CD-77 bottom view) and http://www.vcdpickup.com/PHILIPS.htm (various high resolution images) Last edited by tiefbassuebertr; 25th June 2011 at 07:42 PM. |

I have the same problem - the white plastic lever fell out, and, even from the photos in this thread, I cannot figure out exactly where it goes, and how it stays there, without just tumbling around loosely in the innards. Any more details photos of exactly where & how it fits would be very welcome. Thanks!
