Smile Cambridge DiscMagic CD1 any good?

Hi!
I have had this transport for a while, and have been pleased with it so far. But I do not have the most analytical equipment in the world, and wonder if any of you have some hands-on experience with this transport? Will I be better of using say a Marantz with CDM2/10 as a transport, or does the Cambridge keep up?

Any mods you would recommend?
