Power supply: - replaced rectifier diodes with schottky diodes. Some modders like soft-recovery diodes, others prefer schottky. YMMV - replaced most caps with Panasonic FC, and more recently FM caps - power supply caps on digital supplies replaced with solid polymer (United Chemi Con?) - Selective power supply bypass with stacked film caps Replaced output opamp with LM4562. If I recall correctly, audio output coupling caps were bypassed (ie. shorted). Please check carefully that this is ok with your system (no excessive DC on output). Circuit mod: there is no connection for DEEM (de-emphasis signal) from the receiver to the dac chip. The dac will not apply digital de-emphasis on cds that need them. If you really need this, read the datasheets and apply the connection. This is very tricky as the leads on the chips are very small. Good luck. |
