Hi All,
I am new to diyAudio but old with audio.
I now am looking for a Blu-ray player that would have DisplayPort (iDP) output supporting 8-ch, 24-bit, 192 kS/s. Are there any commercial players around with DP outputs?
If not, what kind of a signal do I get from the bare Blu-ray transport?
I found the ST STDP60xx chips that can take the DP stream and extract I2S audio from it. Has anybody worked with this animal? Which Blu-ray player controller or development board should I attach to the transport and which would be the proper DP transmitter?
I'll keep you informed about what additional related silicon I can find from the Net.
