CDP Output Impedance?

Does anybody know the output impedance of the Marantz CD6002 ?

I am building a B1 and noticed Nelson mentioned that the POT sets the impedance at the input, so before I buy a pot I figured I should get one with the same impedance (if possible) as the CDP impedance.

Im not even sure If this is the best practice but thought I would ask. I cant find any info in the CDP Users Manual, and I cant find a copy of a service manual yet.

Im buying an ALPS pot (possibly Blue Velvet) in AUS if anybody has advice on that also?

10k or 20k would be pretty safe betting, and in fact its not particularly critical.

Hi,
the output impedance of a CDP is likely to be between 100r and 1600r.
It will certainly not be 10k.

The load impedance for a CDP is likely to be >=10k

As Andrew wrote the output impedance of most CD players is 100 Ohms more or less. These CD players expect to see a load of 10k Ohms or more.
Note that a 10k pot in some circuits can present a total load of less the 10k Ohms.

Ok, so as nelson said, about 25k pot will be fine.

Is it worth spending my hard earned $40 AU on a blue velvet or spend the money on some sort of light speed, can anybody recommend I kit?
