Hi,

the clock runs on the 5V line, correct.

Oliver,

thanks for being the pioneer and watering our mouths...unfortunately X-mas is in the way, so I will try it in 2 weeks.
So it seems to be true: it all depends on a decent power supply. Hail to Salas again!

Ciao,

Juergen

how much current you set for the X2 5V and for the 3.3V ? I can't see the resistor value for adjusting the current on the shunt boards...

For the +5V line i use a 10R (2V/10R=200mA), for the 3.3V line a 22R (2.3V/22R= 104,5mA).

I have this Teralink X2 too and will modified soon
Will use Shunt Reg 1.1 by Salas too

Have you measure the real current needed for each Voltage ?

Sorry for my poor English

The needed currents are as followed:

+5V line: 55mA (with TendLabs clock and USB-Isolator downlink)
+3.3V line: 19.5mA

Best regards,
Oliver

Sure, you have a switch to choose if you want to use the USB power or an external power input
