Hi,
I am about to acquire an used Parasound C/DC-1500 CD changers made in 1997 with coaxial digital output. It seems that it has the belt drive mechanism from CEC/Sanyo. I am going to use it as a transport. If you had this Parasound CD changer before, I would be most grateful if you could give me your comment on its sound quality as well as possible upgrade to the digital output. Thanks for reading this post. Russell |

That Parasound absolutely does NOT have the CEC belt drive transport, but rather a totally mundane standard Sanyo laser/mech. Not bad, but nothing special at all. Functionally identical to the Rotel carousel changer, with just superficial upgrades. It & the Rotel are one of the more reliable carousel changers out there, but there is nothing else to recommend them.
