ok, getting ideas to shoe horn a dac into my Naim Nait5i.
i want to use the nait's controller to select from 4 inputs on the DAC. at the moment i'm thinking using the LED's power on the input buttons to trigger the 4:1 spdif reciver twisted pear do. is this feasible? if so what parts will i need to order? at a guess buffalo DAC with power supply. S/PDIF Receiver/MUX Module and supply ? do i need to use the IVY stage for this application? |

Yes, you will need a I to V convertor of some kind (eg the IVY) plus power supplies for that too plus transformers. Hard to see it all fitting into the one case.....
