I've been looking for a decent Class D solution for ages and have come to find CS44210.
My first problem is that cirrus don't have it listed on thier site other than a press release of the series and the headphone only counterpart. I've e-mailed them but if anyone could shed some light on the availability of them it would be good The second problem is the digital controls. The digital input can be done through a normal A/D converterwhich requires little tihnking on my behalf but the controls are a different story. As far as I can tell (I'm still learning pic's) I should be able to interface them without alot of complexity. It would defiately be a 'long term learning task' if anything. Is it as simple as say two buttons for each control(step up, step down) for Volume, bass and treble and just increment and decrement the values for each and transmit them all using interupts? I could always add an LCD as a latter experiment but that would be a way off yet. Can anyone see any flaws in the plan or could surgest anything that would be helpful it would be very much appreciated Fr0st Datasheet - http://www.puredigitalaudio.org/digi.../cs44210-1.pdf |

a simple toggle routine could be utilised with a pic and most have a onboard A/D converter built in for lcd now.I use microchip extensively for that purpose
