Default Totaldac

Hi,
I would like to show you the end of a long project.
I have been working for a very long time now on a R-2R DAC using a Vishay foil resistors and a FPGA. The DAC can also be a 2 way or a 3 way digital active crossover. This web site is the full project presentation.

Hi,
I have just finished an enclosure for a demo DAC. It will be shipped for listening tests.

Well done Vincent!

Question, do you have any recommendations on devices/modules that can feed from a computer transport to the TotalDac via the SPDIF connection? Any plans to implement some sort of USB/I2S link?

Regards
Tuyen

There are so many different USB to spdif or PCI to spdif etc... I use a DIY board using a pcm2902 followed by a analog 2.4GHz video transmitter but it is limited to 48KHz.
I prefer when the spdif generator from a PC is separate because these equipments are rapidly obsolete. I want my DAC to be used even in 20 years.

I recently used Trends Audio UD-01 digital interface and PW-10 (PSU).
It worked more than fine.
I shall try also Oppo BDP-93 connected to my hard disk via SATA. It seems to be a very efficient choice and not such an expensive solution...
