Can I just steal the digital output directly from leg 60 on the Sony chip CXD3017Q and directly connect to coaxial connector? Is this still the SPDIF signal? Reason why I want to do this because my DAC's SPDIF input has cap and transformer also and I want a direct SPDIF signal from the NAD CDP feed to my DAC.

Yes, you can with a couple resistors. Look up SPDIF on Wikipedia and you will find it.
WWW.epanorama.net has the breakdown on outputs Last edited by Bill Fuss; 3rd September 2010 at 12:21 AM. |
