Marantz cd17 ki drawer will not open

Hi, I'm looking for some help trying to understand this circuit. The drawer will not open (or close when opened manually). The motor is ok. I have had it working with a 1.5v battery. I do not seem to be getting any voltage to the motor from the board, but i'm unsure as I don't realy know what i'm doing. I've got the service manual but it is beyond me. I also do not seem to have any voltage accross pins 6 and 7 on the philips servo chip to supply it? Any help would be very much appreciated, but remember I am close to being a monkey so a careful explanation is required. Thank you, Barry

Out of interest, it will not go into service mode when pressing 'play' and 'open/close' !

If your out there Mooly, I know you would understand. It is similar to the problems I had with the cd6000. Except this is stranger. When I press open/close the disc spins. It will work if I put a disc in and close the drawer manualy!

Yippy, I followed Moolys advise for the CD6000 and found an open circuit resistor on the supply for pin 5 on the 7073A and now it's mended. So thank you Mooly!
