Default Teac VRDS10-please help!!

Hello all..
I am new to this site and have been having some problems with my Teac VRDS10 cd (not the SE version). For the last few months the tray has been sticking and needing a gentle push to go back in. Now it won't open at all. From a couple of threads i read in this forum, the problem sounds like a broken gear. I understand the part is expensive and wondered if i could get an after-market one somewhere?
As i am based in Spain and find it hard to get someone who knows what they are doing!! i would appreciate it if anyone has a service manual that they could e-mail me and any other info that the service shop (not teac) can know in advance. i also wondered if there are any parts that could use lubricating, since the man is going to inspect it anyway.
I am using the cd as a transport now, am very happy with the setup.
Many thanks to anyone out there who could help me out!
Regards, Laurie

Hi,
This prob you report looks to be a loose/worn belt and now more loose yet, IF your Teac drawer use one to open itself.
You would just order some new belts from Teac UK and change the belt yourself.
On the web there is some sites selling PDF files of service manuals of audio equips for $14.99 but there are some site(Forums etc) that give Service Manuals for free, just made a search at Google for Teac vrds-10 Service Manual and enter all they.
I have sucess and found a 80 pages PDF Service Manual for free this way after rolling more than 10 pages on Google search.
Good Luck, Gustavo

Just see the VRDS-10 Service Manual, on page 19, Exploded View 2, the loading Belt is cited as item 8, Part Nș 5800979500
