Here two picture series of two different aluminum die casting metal frame for the same mechanism VAM VAU 1254 / 31 LF (lead free) resp. CDpro-2LF. The frame of first picture series looks exactly like the first generation professional mechanism from Philips, the CDM12IND (CDM12 IND, CDM 12 IND, CDM 12IND, CDM12PRO).

Schematic from Datasheet VAU1254 removed from Daisylaser
Datasheet from VAU1254 you will get about
http://www.daisy-laser.com/products/cd/modules/cdpro2/cdpro2mVAUspec11.pdf
On the removed page 28 is a schematic diagram.
Who can post this?

Information from Mr. Nico Thevissen
In this case I ask also Nico Thevissen (rutgerstraat 7 6067 EE Linne info@diy-high-end.com) several questions.
Unfortunately I am not able to find there a reference to my questions. Is my english soo bad?
In this case I ask also Nico Thevissen (rutgerstraat 7 6067 EE Linne info@diy-high-end.com) several questions.
And here his reply:Dear Mr. Thevissen,
I am looking to certainly informations arround your products from daisylaser without success.
1) About
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digi...f-why-various-die-casting-carrier-design.html
you will find picture series of two different aluminum die casting metal frame for the same mechanism type (same sticker). The type is VAU 1254/31 LF (lead free). The frame of first picture series looks exactly like the first generation professional mechanism from Philips, the CDM12IND (CDM12 IND, CDM 12 IND, CDM 12IND, CDM12PRO).
The frame of second picture series looks exactly like various mechanism from the most suppliers. Isthe mechanical outline the only difference? And are the VAM1254/31LF so as the CDpro-II LF additional versions?
2) Next question:
>From which semiconductor manufactur now comes the LDGU Hologram laser diodes both in the TO and resin compact outline used in VAM1254/31LF, formerly produced and now obsolete by Sharp ??
Thank you very much for sending this informations.
Ich habe auch nicht die absicht in 17 jahre entwikkelung zuruck zu gehen.
The main difference is de preamplifier between optics and decoder.
Furthermore the PRO units are all designed for double speed reading, searching and pre-toc and toc reading, audio they read single speed rest double.
Lastly the BLERR of the unit. It is very low, extreme low, even suitable for measurement purposes on CD mastering machines.
So where is the problem.
Mfg. Nico

I still hoping to get the appropriate informations from employers of the actually manufacturer. When I would have chinese language as native language, I would know all wanted details and detailled schematic diagram after some telephone calls and after a short time.

translation
Hi Tief
Google translation does a fairly good job. It can translate in many languages.
It's not perfect, but very useful.

Hi Tiefbass,
Do you collect all this information for repairing or for manufacturing? Either way, I wish good luck for it, and please keep sharing your findings.

Coincidentally, I was asked the same question today by a guy who repair juke boxes.
He showed me at least 3 different castings.

As far as I know all CD-Pro's are back-compatible, because their used in juke-boxes among other things, as poynton said....
If you unscrew the two piece cast from the second set of photos you get something similar to the ones shown in the first post. They kept the same sizes and positions for the relevant pcb and mounting holes and almost the same for the connectors. I notice that the newer ones can be (re)flashed....but that connector is not normally needed (I guess).

There are a lot of members here from China for pick you up informations from "diyaudio.com".
But I miss in general the willingness for a translation of similar diyaudio/diyhifi forums in China in english or other european language.

I am looking for commercial single cd player devices, where follow mechanism are in use:
VAM1254 CDMpro2M CDpro2LF - there are two different versions of this model:
1) VAU1254/01 version August 2000 Hologram LTOH30PA + RF-amp TRIGINTA, datasheet August 2000:
www.vendoramusements.com/images/DataSheet.pdf (schema page 24)
2) VAM1254/11 with brushless disc motor (hall motor) datasheet August 2000 and Nov. 2003
http://www.daisy-laser.com/products/.../downloads.htm (several PDF downloads, also newer datasheet from November 2003 with Sharp GH6C005B3BA + RF amp TZA1022)
The Marantz CD7 ("CD-7") use the VAM1252/00 - a predecessor.
Thanks in advance.
In ths case this URL is of interest:
