From the ATSC website:
http://www.atsc.org/standards/a_52a.pdf Not a bad read at 140 pages, shouldnt be too tough to produce as C++ (but dont waight for me to do it) The Errata Listings from the Dolby web site: http://www.dolby.com/tech/ATSC_err.pdf Note: errata seem to predate the ATSC listing and are therefore likely to be included in the document. |

Perhaps more importantly, depending on where you go with it, this sounds like it could also make a good AES journal article. |

If you want single streams as in a DIT you can add the AKM4101 8 ch DIT I think it would be easier to get a commercial product and re-build it, besides getting usable digital audio data you also get timing adjustments and the dd or dts sonic "stamps" right. I've managed to extract DD and DTS decompressed pcm data from the Motorola DSP56362 and Analog devices Melody 32bit processor. The zoran would give you the same thing. BTW I think zoran is used in Toshiba dvd players. Pioneer uses motorola and Denon uses analog devices melody. I think you can get a new player that includes these for around $500. |

I stumbled across this today while I was avoiding work:
The sound blaster Extigy claims to have a stand alone function where it will decode DTS w/ out setup from a computer. http://www.soundblaster.com/products...asp#easeofuse2 |

AFAIK the extigy only does DD. If it can do DTS, let me know, because I have one at home. I use it mostly for digital I/O.
