Hi everyone:
I've just found the following Philips
1. CDM4/53 9107 AH E- with an aluminum body and a Hall motor.
2. CDM4/52 9420 AH E- with a plastic body and a DC motor.
Since I have a NAIM CDI with a CDM4/22 or 27, do you know if I can replace it (the mech or the pickup only) with the mechs above?
Any idea or suggestion?
Many thanks
Marco

Hi.
See This thread:-
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digital-source/53132-naim-cdi-transport-replacement.html
I have put a CDM4/19 laser arm onto a CDM2/10 mech, no problem at all, just had to also change over the pair of small cast mounting lugs.
There seems to be an amount of commonality between the swing arm mechs.
Regards

Hi
and thanks for your answer.
Ok for the laser, but what about the motor and the body?????
Any experience?
Marco

Hi Marco.
I think your best bet is to look at your mech and check up on the others used in Philips and Marantz machines. There are mostly 2 types of motor (Hall or Brushed) and 2 main types of support plate (Large CDM1 mk2, CDM2 and 4/11 etc and small CDM4/19). No dought there are others though.
All the best.

Hello Jotom750! Can you help me; I have planned to change my meridian CDM2 laser arm assembly with a CDM4 laser arm assembly. Note: Meridian 207 CDM2 Servo PCB I (which one has five connectors on PCB) Is it can swap arms without any electronics modification? I read some information in here: http://bakura.nl/2009/10/06/cdm2-revision/ Mr. Bakura saying needed some modification in electronics, there is a document! I do not know where do I found? You had experience; please give me your advice!
Thanks in advance for your support!
